Masih dalam rangka jalan-jalan ke Singapore, sebenarnya review saya masih ada, cuma karena nunda-nunda terus akhirnya baru kesampean sekarang haha. Mudah-mudahan belum basi yaa. Nah, kali ini saya mau cerita tentang insights yang saya temukan selama di sana dan beberapa tempat yang saya kunjungi yang belum sempat saya ceritakan.
Ini dia taman terbesar yang jadi kebanggaannya Singapore! Terletak di satu area yang sama dengan hotel Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay luasnya mencapai 101 hektar dan rumah untuk ribuan spesies tumbuhan yang hidup di dalamnya.
Kalau lagi traveling ke tempat baru, saya selalu penasaran sama museumnya. Karena seru aja belajar mengenai tempat tersebut dan mengenal sejarah/masyarakatnya lebih dekat. Waktu saya di Singapore, saya dan Abang mengunjungi National Museum of Singapore yang sangaaattt memesona. Bangunannya dari luar sangat klasik, tapi ternyata galeri di dalamnya sangat modern dan super sophisticated! Kami di sana menghabiskan waktu sekitar 3 jam, to give you heads up seberapa menarik museum ini.
As I mentioned in the previous post, Haji Lane is an artsy, narrow alley where you can find (mostly) boutiques owned and designed by local Singaporean designers. Further than that, you can also find many cafes and restaurants here, which offer a variety of good food, from Western to Middle Eastern cuisines.
Another 2.5 days we stayed in a simple, minimalist hotel Lloyd’s Inn. It is placed among residential areas, but pretty close to Singapore’s most famous (and upscale) area, Orchard, around 500-meter walk from the hotel.

At the end of January, my husband and I went to Singapore to celebrate our half a year anniversary (that sounds cheesy, I know). We have planned this trip for quite a long time ago, but a major loss happened right before the trip. My father-in-law passed away in the first week of January, and it almost cancelled our plan. But we finally decided to give it a go, despite the circumstance.
So in the first two days we stayed in The Sultan Hotel, in Bugis area. This is a beautiful boutique hotel which gives you some nostalgic feelings with its old-style building. The hotel was awarded with Architectural Heritage in 2012.
