Besides Ubud, when we were in Bali, my husband and I stayed for a couple of days in Seminyak, not far from Kuta and the Ngurah Rai International Airport. Our consideration was, we wanted to visit some cafes and restaurants with their own unique atmospheres and ambiance (Seminyak is famous with its social activities and nightclubs). And one of the places we visited was Quince in Berawa, Canggu.
I knew this place from, obviously, their Instagram account and I knew I should pay a visit to this place! Unfortunately we almost cancelled the plan because suddenly I felt sick the night before. I couldn’t eat, felt nauseous, and stayed in the hotel room until late in the afternoon. I ate something wrong (and half-spoiled, I guess) the day before because previously I was totally fine.
So then, with very limited energy (and empty stomach), my husband and I went to this place and suddenly I felt refreshed and a lot lighter. This cafe is amazing! This place has two areas; indoor and outdoor, with a wall separates their indoor area to divide the cafe and the textile and housewares shop run by the owner. There are plenty of plants, and the space is so airy with big windows.
We ordered two dishes; spring rolls and vegetarian sandwich. What I really like about their food is it is made from fresh, local and organic ingredients. And even though I still hadn’t had my appetite back, the vegetarian sandwich pretty much satisfying my growling stomach.
I also took a tour to their shop and I couldn’t help bought these amazing bamboo straws and wooden coasters. Besides they are useful, they are also environmental friendly by reducing the use of plastics, right?
Overall, Quince is a must-visit cafe in Seminyak! Besides offering healthy food, it also encourages us to live more consciously 🙂
